Not very true.... Umred, chandrapur and koradi coal mines are there for decades and coal was always needed to be transported...But still GC was not done....
Reason was neglect by politicians...There was no big politician in this region to push for this GC..Like Kamalnath in chhindwara...
GC was approved by maharashtra govt with half funds...after Gadkari and Fadnavis from Nagpur got major role in state and centre politics....

Bypass work is going on...Bit slow but I have seen the earth work done...
Yes main reason is politics but now SECR doing this work in priority basis with Maha Rail & major stations enroute is being constructed in a very correct manner
