Let me share a story with you. Because I am not very old, during my childhood and early pre-teen years, the internet was widely accessible. I have always been passionate about trains, and as a young rail enthusiast, I would spend time researching different types of trains, watching videos and vlogs on YouTube, checking their average speeds, and so on.

When I first learned about Duronto trains, they represented the ultimate dream for a young train enthusiast like me. I was captivated and amazed by the idea of traveling from source to destination with minimal stops. This is something I always fantasized about.

Even in the vlogs and videos I watched, Duronto trains appeared to receive the same high priority as Rajdhani Express trains.

As I have grown older, I have noticed a decline in various premium trains such as the Rajdhani and Shatabdi, but the most significant impact has been on the Duronto trains.

From ill-conceived extensions, such as the Sealdah Duronto, to unnecessary diversions like the Howrah Duronto, many of these trains, including the Howrah–CSMT Duronto, are experiencing severe punctuality issues. Additionally, more and more stops are being added to the Duronto trains, further diminishing their original appeal.

Only VBs seem to be gaining all kinds of traction these days.

Vlogs aur videos mein bhi, jo maine dekha, Duronto trains ko Rajdhani Express trains jaisi hi high priority di jaati thi.

Jaise jaise main bada hua, maine alag alag premium trains jaise Rajdhani aur Shatabdi mein decline notice kiya hai, lekin sabse significant impact Duronto trains pe hua hai.

Ill-conceived extensions, jaise Sealdah Duronto, se lekar unnecessary diversions jaise Howrah Duronto tak, in trains mein se bahut saari, jisme Howrah–CSMT Duronto bhi shamil hai, severe punctuality issues ka samna kar rahi hain. Iske alawa, Duronto trains mein aur bhi zyada stops add kiye ja rahe hain, jisse unka original appeal aur bhi kam ho raha hai.
