Its very good initiative from Government but it can be more better if it is till #Rampurhat# connected two more pilgrims Tarapith & Basukinath and also generated good revenue.... While no Rampurhat has still direct train to banaras
Also it is good replacement of #13133# sealdah-varanasi upper india express.. I can't understand why government didn't think like that how to reach benefits more and more people????

You have been reiterating that KG line not fit for VB neither Deoghar deserves one.
These kind of judicature is justified before the introduction of the train itself, now since the train has been introduced for whatever reasons be to x, y or z...it can not be abruptly taken back, rather an effort can be made to increase the footfall by extension which is always a viable option and has happened to some of VBs as well.

concern why would people of ASN would take longer route or slower route to BSB/Gaya.
If it starts from ASN it would probably be around 14:00 and at this time hardly a few trains are there for gaya or BSB. Most premium trains on GC line is in the evening. Definately there would be few travellers.
Even ASN-GAYA memu is running since a long time and takes about 8hrs do you believe it runs completely empty. It serves many intermediate passengers.

Similarly If ASN gives even 80-90 passengers for JSME, Kiul, NWD combined it's enough to make this a hit.
Look it's not about shifting blame it's just about enlarging the area it caters to, the way BGP HWH VB has been given infinite no of irrelevant halts.
NWD has lot of travellers to HWH and 13024 is not the first choice. If this is extended to ASN this can become 1st choice to thousands like NWD-ASN then take any train going eastward.

By the way ASN is not the only option for extension, the kind of political backing this train has I won't be surprised if it gets extended to HWH, but as discussed ASN is more viable option among RPH in the east and PRYJ in the west.
