The rain had damaged the track in several places, which were repaired. On September 15th, the General Manager of the Northern Railway Division, Ferozepur, inspected the Ajhu railway station and instructed the immediate completion of necessary repair work. The railway undertook the repair and testing of the track on a war footing, leading to the successful test run on Sunday. The General Manager had previously stated that the Pathancoat-Joginder Nagar railway line was closed due to the risk of landslides caused by rainfall and that services would resume after the rains subsided. He also hinted at the possibility of introducing a toy train between Bajnath and Joginder Nagar. Railway officials anticipate the train service to resume during the auspicious occasion of Navratri. The restoration of the train service will benefit locals and tourists visiting the mountainous regions.
