The remaining work, including a 4-meter-long flyover above the railway line, will commence after closing the level crossing. Additionally, a roundabout near the Pattabiram police station is planned with land acquisition already completed. Local activist T Sadagopan highlighted the previous detour of 6-7 km that residents had to take, leading to a 45-minute delay in crossing the level crossing gate. He also mentioned the loss of connectivity due to the cancellation of MTC buses during the ROB construction and requested the restoration of bus routes that existed before 2017-18.
