Gondia should be carved out as a separate rly division as SECR Bilaspur is not giving proper attention to this part, may be because it is not in chhatisgarh. Take the example of Gondia - Jabalpur gauge conversion, it is still not completed.
Ngp is getting proper attention from central railways, why there is a need of SECR division at ngp, better SCER division be shifted to Gondia for proper management.
i think GONDIA be a new division by taking some parts of NAGPUR & Raipur division.
It would make more sense to merge the CR and SECR divisions of Nagpur and think of a zone called Central Central Railway (CCR).
That will be in the best interest as it will serve the entire Vidarbha region and help in faster implementation of many railway projects that are currently in progress.
Have the divisions of Amravati, Nagpur and may be Gondia or Nainpur.
