The Western Railway (WR) is actively working on improving the transportation network. They have developed plans and are now putting them into action to enhance the overall travel experience.

These 2 additional VR DRD services might give some respite to Dahanu Rd - Virar section commuters as they got new services after many years but yes WR needs to complete Borivali Goregaon Harbour line extension, Borivali Virar 5th & 6th lines and Virar Dahanu Rd. quadrupling to decongest the suburban section.
Getting new slot for locals and m/exp in peak hours is difficult as slots in 0500 to 1200 are also a peak arrival/departure time of m/exp. They need to focus on segregation of BDTS bound m/expresses by prioritising Virar Borivali BDTS 5th & 6th lines which can help to increase frequency of Virar locals.
