Can anyone know about the information regarding TPTY-KPD doubling. Since Day by Day traffic is increasing , Previously trains from South west from SBC & CBE are running ,but now after guage conversion of KPD-Villupuram, trains from Central part of SR also passing through KDP-TPTY Line . Due lack of double line between KPD-TPTY trains are loosing their timings in giving Crossings itself. Hence it is necessary to make the Route Double Line for Better performance of trains
since No information is available ,i wish Atleast in 2013-14 budget will consider and take up the project such that all trains benefit, will run as per their schedules which can avoid the delay due to crossings
Conflict between SR and SCR will dent the doubling of this. SR has fast doubled line via AJJ and hence, this might not be considered.
SCR has its boundary upto Katpadi station itself .SR boundary starts from the Home signal of the katpadi station. Even though AJJ Bypass line is there many passenger Trains are pass through KPD-TPTY only .
Even as per my knowledge AJJ bye-pass is line is using for major of Goods traffic only upto RU than Passenger trains. Since TPTY-KPD section is not fit for Goods due to high gradients ,they hav to look into the matter steps to be taken to complete the project

Now, most of the trains are going via AJJ By pass only.
Yeah, it ends immediately after SCR but if SCR lays it, it will benefit only SR and SWR.
