My best buddy Jayan and myself decided to visit Tiruvannamalai,Chidambaram and come to Pondi on the 31st and leave on the first after visiting Chinmaya Surya our Chinmaya Mission Ashram in Pondi. We booked our return journey by this train and on tuesday,we reached the station only by 8pm thanks to massive crowds at the Mannarkula Vinayagar Temple, A PUNE WDG3 was the power for the train and the NDLS-PDY Express was on PF3 next to ours. excellent chugger. So,to the accompaniments of the chugging and clackety-clack,we played some tamil songs. Our coach had around 40-45 people only with everyone being party revellers heading home except us. WE crossed the Purulia-VPM Express with an ERS WDM3 at Tirukkovilur. We turned in after we crossed Tiruvannamalai and the next thing I know is the train's reached KJM! The train left KJM after stopping for a long time and was diveted into the opposite side track. At BYPL,a light yellow colored UBL WDG4 crossed us. At Hebbal,twin GD4s leading a BOXN rake crossed us. We soon neared YPR and at the sheds, the GArib Nawaz rake was being shunted bya KJM WDP 4. The TPTY ICE led by a WAP4 was on platform 4. Our train was received on 6. By the time we made our way to the Govardhan Bus stand,the PUNE loco was already reversing baack to take the train to DR. After boarding a 401M bus ,we reached home after a very friutful and exciting trip..
