No its a different class of train, as it doesn't has commercial stops and food is also provided..
durontos r premier trains with non stop aim to connect important routes they dont have commercial reservation bookable stops only technical stops r there
Durontos are of a different breed clearly identifiable by their yellow-green-blue livery. This query is raised on the TVC Rajdhani forum (different category). Duronto are nonstop trains with only a few technical halts from where you cannot book tickets (from where you cannot board the Duronto, however, you can alight but have to pay the full fare). The fares are almost similar to RAJ to even a bit costlier than RAJ. Food and bed spreads are provided and the cost is included in the ticket fare. Currently, 22207/08 Duronto is the only one of its kind from TVC. Another example would be 12223/24 that starts from Ernakulam. Hope this helps.
