Secunderabad Pune Shatabdi; 1025/1026. This train needs new coaches. Current coaches are all broken and old. Unreserved passengers get into the train between Solapur and Gulbarga. Food is pathetic. Daal was just water and mutter paneer had a terrible taste. Railway is extracting money from us for a substandard train which by no means can be called a shatabdi

good question and a perfect answer too... however since the commercial aspects of this train is wtih SCR and the rake is of CR,wherein CR is getting only operational charges... it will continue the same,unless the rakes are transferred to SCR.. but the TT will have to reverse with rakes having to reach SCR in evening... its defined as no-profitable by IR, CR is not ready to take over the train(initially CR commercial staffs refused to carry the rake,after which it was transferred to SCR commercial).
Since CR is getting only operational charges... it will try to save money in its own way(substandard food, cheap housekeeping on board.. etc.)

well said..quite poignant too...atleast trains like shatabdi should be made to retain its glory.
This train got coach of Mumbai-Pune Shatabdi which were in train yard for more than 4 years. Train coaches are in bad condition. Food picked up from Gulbarga which is pathetic.
Where is that "Brick wall hitting smiley" and that "Palm to the Forehead smiley" when you need one.This is really bad.
