is there any issues in opening the IRCTC site? i am getting 'The connection was interrupted' from all the common browsers like chrome, mozilla, IE and android.

IRCTC is like that.It's soon gonna be inducted into "Anger Management" courses.Many believe it will test the "Patience" of people who are just about to finish the course.
well said, this crap is always going down when you badly need it.
This is quite normal now a days... and it happens at anytime unlike the tatkal hours when irctc used to face pressure
