Hi,
I would like to know whether any generic formula available to calculate the train ticket fare. Like if we know Distance and train type of the particular train then how can we calculate the train fare....
If any one knows ...Please help me

well there is no particular formula for all time in the year......bcz the fares fluctuate at different time of the year...there are concession in fare on off seasons...

go to page numbers 288-293 for distance and fare for different kind of Mail/Express and Garibrath, Rajdhani trains and explanation is given in page no.294 of the "Trains at a Glance" - July 2008-2009 issue. if possible arrive at a common formula and also inform this forum. thanks.
