If I wanna travel a short distance in 3AC during day time, and if I take 3AC ticket from the station and board the train, will the TTE charge any extra fare inside the train?
If the ticket counter gives 3AC ticket and if there is seat in 3AC you can get do...
3AC ticket will not be given at UTS counter and if given at current reservation counter or General reservation counter, fare will be higher than general ticket issued at UTS counter. Instead if you can manage, buy a general ticket and ask TTE if any vacancy is there in 3AC which he will allot by collecting the difference in fare. In all the way, it will be more or less equal to the fare you incur in ticket booking.
I travelled for a distance of 86 km at 2:25pm from Kasaragod to Kannur in Express train. The station counter issued me a ticket of Rs 192 for travelling in 3AC. Inside the train, the TTE collected an extra Rs 26 in the name of reservation charge. I have never heard of this. Just wanna make sure and ratify...
