In train No. 5930 Chennai Egmore Express in the time table section the train is said to reach Andal from Siuri...then it goes to Durgapur and then to Asansol from there. Andal is inbetween Durgapur and Asansol...so how come the train first reaches Andal and not Durgapur...however..in return journey as 5929 it first reaches Asansol, then Andal, Durgapur and then Siuri which is quite normal.Is is a timetable error or there is some loop line issue for which 5930 has to come to Andal ..thn Durgapur...and thn turn bk towards Asansol...Can anybody help in this
The train goes like this:
Siuri: Andal Jn.(stop, joining the ASA-DGR line): Durgapur (reversal of Engine): Andal Jn (no stop now) :Asansol
Return Journey:
Asansol: Andal (stop): Durgapur (engine reversal): Andal (no stop now, leaving the DGR-ASN main line): Siuri
Siuri: Andal Jn.(stop, joining the ASA-DGR line): Durgapur (reversal of Engine): Andal Jn (no stop now) :Asansol
Return Journey:
Asansol: Andal (stop): Durgapur (engine reversal): Andal (no stop now, leaving the DGR-ASN main line): Siuri
Both Up and Down trains go past Andal to Durgapur and then reverse direction. So the route is Asansol-Andal-Durgapur-Andal-Suri for the train going from Chennai to Guwahati/Dibrugarh and Suri-Andal-Durgapur-Andal-Asansol for the train going from Dibrugarh/Guwahati to Chennai. Hope I am clear.
In fact there are 2 such trains on this route. 5629/5630 Chennai Egmore-Guwahati-Chennai Egmore Expresses and 5929/5930 Chennai Egmore-Dibrugarh-Chennai Egmore Expresses.
