IRCTC: "BOOK MY TICKET IF ONLY ONE LOWER BERTH IS ALLOTTED" does the lower berth here include side lower also?
no. lower berth over here as well as in lower berth quota includes only the main bay lower berths. and not side lower berths.
also, does this work if you are booking only one berth and you want a lower berth? last year it did not work
suppose i have given berth preference as side lower and side upper and i check the option "book my ticket if only one lower berth is allotted" what action will the server take
server will book a lower berth if available and reject the berth preference you have given. if no lower berths are available, no berth will be booked. money will be deducted and if no lower berth vacant, will be refunded in 3 working days.
