The Century old Historical important 13 pillar "KANNARA BRIDGE" built by BRITISH in 1901 is situated in KAZHUTHURUTTI between TENMALA and ARYANKAVU of SCT-QLN section of SR. This Railway line is one of the most picturesque route in IR and the journey through Western Ghats is incredible. It can seen in lot of Malayalam and Tamil cine movies.
Now this section is under GC . The RLY's had a plan of strengthen the bridge to BG standards by simply close all the arches. This leads to spoil the nature of the bridge. The people of near by area's objected the proposal and formed a committee to save the bridge. They send a detailed memorandum to all
