The main problem that stops authorities from starting and terminating trains at TVC seems to be track saturation. In that case why dont they operate lots of new daily long distance trains from TVC at odd hours, when traffic wont be high.I mean from 11 pm to 5 am ?

There was some talk of extending trains bound towards ers to Nemom and converting the same into a satellite station . This would mean that all trains would just need to have 5 or 10 min stop @ TVC. This would be a lot more convenient. Trains like Ananthapuri express could be extended to KCVL and can use the pit line over there. Even NCJ pass can be started from KCVL with stops @ TVC.
TVC can be used mainly to operate only prestigous trains like Kerala express, Chennai Mail, Malbar, Cannore, Sabari, Rajadhani, Jan Shatabdhi, Intercity express etc.
