I travelled on 21 from mandovi and have this experience with the pantry car of the train.
The catering on all 3 rakes is by ahuja caters.
Still i felt that the service offered in rakes are different from rake to rake.

more... returning we got fresh watermelon,dabeli,matka dahi,gulab jamun. These things were not there while going to madgao.
Also pls take care that the pantry guys do not offer any things extra like:- i asked the pantry manager to give me 4 plastic spoons as were having our lunch with us but he refused stating that they do not give loose spoons like this. I tld him that i wll pay him the charges but no.
This thing was strange to me...
Secondly when we ordered thali in the return journey and we wanted extra parathas after our lunch was served to us, i went to the pantry and asked for it, but they refused to give stating that they do not make extra parathas!!!
We were left with no option to eat limited. This was a strange experience i has and feel that they should offer small things to passengers. Passengers cannot carry everything with them wile travelling so they have the facility of pantry car on board.
I mean this is amazing, if someone wants something extra they do not offer on board then wats the use of pantry???
