Hello Sir @ Entry 53343 . So what if Punjab Express has got 10 Halts . Inspite of this it still covers the 1800+ Distance between Calcutta & Amritsar in around 28 Hrs , which it would have covered even if it had run as a Duronto . Initially only 5 Technical Halts were planned for this train which were Dhanbad , Mughalsarai , Lucknow , Saharanpur and Ludhiana . Later when this train was demoted to a Normal "Superast" Train , then all these techies became commercial halts . Plus , Asansol was added & it preceeded Dhanbad . Then Gaya preceeded MGS . MB preceeded Saharanpur . Ambala Cantt preceeded Ludiana & finally Jalandhar City preceeded Amritsar . The No of halts multiplied from 5 to 10 . Just twice the no enroute . Inspite of all these challenges , incl loco change @ MGS & SHR , this...

what is meant by rocking train...let me tell you...already there is lots of traffic on the route and due to poor patronage ..the stops have been provided...if this continues then more stops will be added..and thus reducing its running time.....this train eventhough is nonrajdhani is 2nd fastest train on the route to rajdhani...which considering traffic wolud be increased running time...so more you wait..more stops will be providede 2 this train....so now only number has been changed(duronto number 2278 to 2358).and soon more stops will be provided 2 this train
