Trip Report: 1. TVC-ERS 2.ERS-CBE
1.As I experienced a real super crawler while going from CBE-TVC in Island express, I never wanted to make the same mistake while returning and it was important for me to reach CBE in the afternoon, so decided to take the 16606 Ernad Express from TVC-ERS at 3:50 in the morning. Arrived at TVC @ 3:15 as expected station was empty but with some patrolling RPF and some people sleeping in the platforms and within 10 minutes announcement was made that Ernad will be arriving in PF-2 immediately. and it arrived 20 min before time with 90% empty coaches as it starts at the wee hours from NCJ. departed @4:10 now late by 20 mins. It ran at good pace till Varkala and arrived 10 mis late @Kollam Junction halted there for 2 min. Then through Kayankulam , Harippad, running late by 10 mins. Then waited at ALLP for SBC-KCVL to cross. Reached Turavur 10 Mins late and was waiting for a signal and then a CONCOR rake with ED WAG-5 in its helm crossed us in decent pace. Entered ERS at 8:10. Got down went into a restaurant at PF-1 had Dosa and Coffee and waited for ERS-SBC Intercity to be shunted.
2.As I was waiting on PF-1 announcement came that ERS-SBC Intercity was on PF-4, there was time so never hurried. Found my coach D-1 at the end of the PF, WAP-4 was in power down mode. Then the Loco pilots went past our coach. Soon the Panto was raised and the beast was powered up. @9 MAS-ALLP express entered PF-3. @9:10 bang on time left ERS, crossed Kerala Exp at ERN which came with ED WAP-4. Guruvayur- ERS passenger came with RPM WAP-4 at ERN outer.@ Aluva a WAG-9 lead oil tanker rake fled past. Intercity was mostly running on time. Crossed Island Express at Angamally. Sabari Express was waiting at SRR B-Cabin for clearance. Reached PGT on-time. Then crept slowly through the Ghats, arriving at CBE 12:45, 5 mins late. Overall enjoyed the trip and was happy to arrive a bit early while compared to the up journey !!.
