Hi, I hope to get some advice. I am from South Africa and am travelling around India for a while. The rail system is confusing me! If I book a ticket online that is WL10 (for example) what are the chances of one actually getting on the train? Also I believe there is a "tourist quota"available-- how do you book tickets this way?

Sorry to write again, but how would I purchase one of the tourist quota tickets? Must I do it at the station?
