It is a prestigious train for the people of Mailaduthurai. But it runs like a passenger train between Trichy and Mailaduthurai. Why not it start at Mailaduthurai at 7 AM , arrive at Chennai by 12.30 pm and start at Chennai at 1.15 pm and arrive at Mailaduthurai at 6.45.pm. 5 hours running time may be extended to 5 hrs and 30 minutes. It is possible.
