SilverSurfer 377 blog postsThe passengers of S5 of this train traveled without power for the whole journey(28 hours) in this hot and humid month of April so can these guys claim any sort of refund for the laxity shown by the Railways and how can the Railways allow a non functioning compartment to be run with a train like this??Very Very Shameful episode.

I think they should get compensation with refund. If they complain the TTE he will give the reciept of non working. It could be repaired in stations lik BZA NGP etc too. Don't know why railways allowed such mistake.
Refund not possible I guess. Fans and lights performance is not usually counted.
But still somewhere its mentioned about AC failure... So why not for electricity failure in sleeper???

28 hours ..they should have preferred complaint in any junction or to tte or the phone numbers pasted on every coach............unbelieavable....and it wl never happen for such long hours some culpirts might hv done this.......xlrs staff never leave coaches like this......seems to be fake complaint
Just read the news article at "Times Of India" and this news article is available in the "News Section" of this portal too and i must say this is absolutely absurd.They have Jhansi - Itarsi - Nagpur as the 1st three stations with "technical halt" and according to the article,the power was restored for a brief period when the train was at Itarsi and then it was "Business as Usual" and i don't care if it's a Duranto,they should have stopped the train at any of the big stations be it even be Bhopal or Gwalior and sort this out.This is an "Emergency" and so it should have been dealt with a contingency plan and if that requires the train to stop at some Unscheduled station then let it be.
