Can a waitlisted eticket be utilised for tatkal ticket booking with payment of additional cost. I booked two eticket one in SL( PNR No 8111443135) and one in AC3 ( PNR 8711296434) for the same train on the same day . Chances for their confirmation are not good. May try for tatkal ticket also on the same day. Refunds of waitlisted tickets are always a tricky issue. Why can not Railways devise a method to convert WL ticket/s in tatkal tickets , if the ticket holder is willing ?
