Palakkad division is selected as the best among the six divisions in SR for 2012-13. PGT got awards for good performance incommercial,engineering,mechanical, security, signal and Telecommunications dept.

Dude TVC and PGT divisions are the best earning Divisions for the SR. and due to this reason they are opposing the proposal of forming a new zone for Kerala merging with Konkan. If Kerala moves out from SR, then SR's main economic Divisions will be lost.
