the EMU in this pic most likely is Canning Barasat Local and it does not belong to SPR carshed. isn't it?

Yes. Its Canning-Barasat Local. Ranaghat/RHA shed rake. Spotted this train at Garia yesterday.
may be that day a 12 coach rake was provided........but it is a non-SPR shed rake as the style of writing '12' inside dotted circles is a Mainline fashion
