amitkasba~ 945 blog postsAvg speed is 53 kmph, runs regularly 2-3 hrs late still its a superfast train just to collect extra money.. strange policy by IR.. and loco from tughlakabad shed is used for hauling this train, another strange decision!!
1. Since last few weeks this tain is running on time or close to it, last Wednesday it was 15 minutes before time at sodepur(13.5kms to KOAA)
2. The Main Cause of lateness is the that this train uses the Slow Single Line Route of KOAA-Naihati-Bandel-Katwa-Azimganj-New Farraka route(Electrified Double tracks between Bandel and Ambika kalna in place(as of january 2013)) instead of taking the faster route of KOAA-Dankuni-Bardhaman-Khana-Rampurhat-Pakur-Bonidanga- New Farraka,( Dankuni-Khana is High Speed section with speeds upto 110, rest till NFK is Double Tracks suitable upto 100).
