I have a genuine doubt regarding Tatkal ticket booking. I am planning to book a Tatkal ticket (offline) from Bangalore to Trivandrum on March 31st. I have asked my father to book it from a station in Trivandrum on March 30th. He is planning to submit a copy of my voter ID card along with the ticket reservation slip for booking a tatkal ticket from

no,you couldn't travel without the ticket, a ticket is necessary with a valid id
You will be treated as a ticket less traveler and fined accordingly.
No you can't travel..Original ticket is required along with ID proof..Also,March is well past.
