WDG-5 is for Freight only. In exceptional cases, it can haul even an M/E trains.
G - Goods & P-Passenger...So you yourself can draw a conclusion.
in ALCO's, its WDM-3D
in EMD's its WDP-4B/WDG-4.
As WDG-5 hasn't yet the service tracks, now, its stands outta range. apart from it, yes, its the power EMD loco of India.
