The Indian Railways is playing with innocent passengers. Just go through the status of Tr. No. 12150 Patna Pune Exp. Daily its waiting is going to around 900. What does it mean? Only by travelling in the train one can understand what does it mean. A Ladies or child is not in a position to go to Toilet. Toilet is fully packed with goods. Waiting list people occupy the whole reserve bogie and one can not even go to next seat. If you tell the person they will start fighting.
How Railway is managing waiting list 900 without adding coaches? The Rail Ministry should be given award for such management. If one has doubt then just go through

the position of 12150 and see the waiting list.

There has to be some solution to this... if i reserve a seat 4 months before travelling, then why should i suffer because of WL people. Railway should provide some alternate option to WL passagers.

This is a situation where a neutral would find no fault with both the parties. But then, rules are rules.....

Yes, I do agree with you Sir that rules are rules and it is a situation that needs to be drastically improved. Even I have faced some really bad music from the unreserved, but practically what to do? Instead of repeatedly raising the issue again and again over a certain period of time, this forum should endeavor helping find some practical solutions. Of course, that is the purpose of this discussion, and I believe we are hoping to find a direction to this problem. No point I put my hands up and say, "yes, I have also suffered." We are not counting here how many people have suffered. And, my point is with the lack of credible infrastructure, at least as a place to start with, there cannot be any fruitful improvement. No amount of schooling is going to help those herds of unreserved....

So, there cannot be any short-term/quick-fix solutions.

yes, more and more trains, but where are the lines? We have had situations where it has taken decades to complete a 10-km line. The GCs, doubling, electrification, etc., are going at snail's pace, the lesser said about new line surveys the better it is. To add to this, regional biases of powers that be. At this rate by the necessary infra comes into place, the demand will be the same like today even after 20 years.
