Madurai junction has totally 6 platforms and 4 tracks to stop engines........In that 4 platforms are electrifed and 1 track for stopping electric loco....As of now electrification of madurai is completed.....Kudal nagar station fully electrified where electric loco can hault each and every corner is electrified in koodalnagar.........Mostly june starting there will be a trial run..........And soon WAPies and WAMies andWAGies going to rule madurai...............
