Why can't IRCTC start a MULTI-CITY booking facility on the website which would automatically calculate the telescopic fares up to three legs of journey with a maximum of 48 hours buffer between each leg.
Several constraints involved and more load. But,this will be implemented in near future I guess.
For the popularity that Indian railways has and for the number of daily commuters, I thought these guys should have implemented it by now. Hopeful to see this feature soon. IRCTC is saying that by the year end they would be moving onto new servers which would enable 7500 booking per minute. May be that would be the right time to intro this feature too.
