Mr. Raghavendran, thanks for the info. Just wanted to convince myself that IR still offers cheaper mode of transport compared to roadways. Even the express train fare is only Rs.22/- as staed by you.
Welcome Venkat ! travelling in train is faster than travelling in bus. Passenger trains takes 50-60 mins to reach tanjavur and express trains takes 35-40 mins to reach thanjavur. where as buses thakes 90 mins to reach thanjavur
