Sorry for what. I honestly don't care if IR writes it in Zulu,Tibetan etc. Just wanted to point out.
Reason: Train is run by ER, hence usually preference will be given to home zone/city vernacular language, Hindi and English. Few trains are exception, they write names in language of destination also.
I think it is not a logical reason. You mean to say a SR run train should have name plates in Tamil or Malayalam only even if they run to Gujarat etc.
This is what is happening at present; and zones are too lazy to find out people belonging to a particular community in their city to get the same written in their language. It is not difficult for SR to search Gujarati people in Chennai and get the same written in Gujarati from them. But who cares?
