The work for expansion of platforms at ANVT has begun and the underground subway is already under extension work.
Many trains announced in this budget towards east are planned to operate from this terminal which is currently facing shortage of platforms.

luckily ANVT has got space, nor it could have been a tight stuff to do...!!!
The expansion was planned right since its concept was sketched out. It is supposed to expand till the Anand Vihar halt station after which ANVR and ANVT will merge into one.
good news ,, this extension is much needed to use full capacity of this station ,, 3 pf is very less ,, now after this extension many more trains will start from here ,, i guess trains like samporna karnti , vikramshila .,, ndls-nfk , etc plus many more new north area trains willl start from here only ,,, i think pnbe raj will also shifted to this station
Well PNBE Raj is probably too extreme to talk about but yes there are MANY trains awaiting transfer to ANVT to decongest NDLS/DLI.
