Many of us have already faced this similar question but could not get a conclusive answer. In the end, we can sum it up as a decision by Railway Board which is final after consultation with loco sheds.
This point has aroused at IRI at several point of times...but still the reason is unknown...Actually there is no point of running it with diesel between ADI-BDTS vice-versa..an electric loco would be very much perfect here but dunno what is the reason of bringing it with diesel upto BDTS...
