If any one of the passenger in the total ticket list is cnf after chart preparation then money wont be returned automatically for the other WL passengers as well. It means others can also travel with this ticket but not in reserved coach. But since in this case only 2 passengers are travelling the WL passenger can also travel with cnf by adjusting within yourself. And during travel if any berth is available due to someone missed train then TTE might allot that berth to u.
