KANCHRAPARA WORKSHOP
Kancharapara workshop gate railway station , the station infront of KANCHRAPARA WORKSHOP , priviously I thought that the station is an aboudan station . But toady i pass through the station i saw that a EMU was stop at the station & a lot of passenger board & unbroad form that train . I become very curious & capture some picture . My co-passengers were schoolboys boarded form halisahar . I ask them about the station , they told me that some EMU's are stop there , like kalyani simanta - sealdah local dep 5 pm .for details you can contract Guard saheb..

i was returning back form KALYANI , i planned to visit the station & collect some information . I do some railfanning at kalyani station , the station is like our NFR stations , 2 loop lines ( total 4 tracks ) between pf # 1 & pf # 2 . Very soon Krishnanagar city - Sealdah local arr at pf # 3 , I thought that if the train stop at WORKSHOP GATE station ,then it is very good . I asked Asistant Loco pilot " IS it stop at Workshop gate " , he asked his senior , then Senior loco pilot asked guard wia waki ," eai eta ki karkhana gate e thambe ( Is it stop at gate )" , reply comes form othar side " NO , pass hobe ( through train ) ." LP inform me that it don't stop at Workshop Gate .
Then i board in the train & come in kanchrapara station , WORKSHOP GATE station is 1 km form there ..
There is big gate for completing 150 glourious year of workshop near kachrapara , I started working towards the station ..
After 15 min walk i reach WORKSHOP GATE station , the station has 2 platforms , UP platform is 100 meter far form DOWN platform . Both platforms are capable for 12 coach EMU . The station is mainly build for railway employee & workshop works . After visiting that i came back in kacharapara & catch Sealdah bound Gede Emu..

Kancharapara was the workshop of EAST BENGAL RAILWAY , kachrapara had a glorious pride before 1947 but after partition it slowly loss its importance , Then time it is falls in CALCUTTA - SILIGURI Main line , It had a chance to become a railway city like KHARAGPUR , MUGHALSARAI ..
