I wanted to book a ticket from Tirunelveli to Thanjavur in this train for five people on 31-Aug-2013. Unfortunately - the current availability status is PQWL 14. However, I am able to find tickets between Tirunelveli and Chengalpattu. Can I book tickets between these two places and get down at Thanjavur - I am okay to pay the additional cost, as it gives me the convenience rather than going for Tatkal / WL which is not sure. Is this permissible? Requesting your inputs on this. Thanks.

This is the easiest way of proceeding with your travel plans. You may go ahead doing it, book upto Chengalpattu and get down at Thanjavur...

There is no problem at all... You can carry on your journey as per plan...
