My story of becoming rail fan!
This is about long days back in 1994 when I used to visit my grandparents house in Borivali (Mumbai). My grandpa used take me to borivali station every morning, I don’t know why he used to take me there never asked him whether he was too a rail fan (as he left very early from us to god). I and my grandpa used to stand where loco stop ends, and I used to block my ears due to the fear of the loud whistle. He used to call the mail / express trains as big train. He knew the timing of the trains and used to inform me prior to the announcement “Look now it’s time

for the big train to arrive” and this use to make me anxious. And this grew over me days after days. And whenever I used to visit my grandparents place I use to always force me grandpa to take me to railway station. And so this is how my journey to rail fan starts from borivali station and all thanks to my grandpa for making me a rail fan
So what’s your story ? :)
Thank You!

in old days travelling in mail trains is like present day travelling in rajdhani, mail trains were fastest at that time but now all mail trains exept few are degraded too much, mail trains very very punctual and in old days only vvips are allowed to travel in reserved compartment of mail trains

I still remember my travelling with my MOM, uncle and brother from BSB to Mumbai in Mahanagri Express, when I was 8 to 9 years old. on those time we travelled in General class compartment which was totally Full. we have managed to get Wooden Long seat and being kid I was very fond of Window Seat. As soon as train moves from Station to station.. train got completely full and there were no space to walk in pathway. Ladies and Gents were feeling very hard to move to use toilets at that time.
Soon I ask my Mom that I want to releive my self but mom Say's beta control once train takes halt I can releive myself by getting

down. Very soon we reached some where at Itarsi station but still the Path towards Toilet was completely choke and no body was moving here and there. Then at last moment Mom ask me to Climb the Window and relieve your self. I feel awkward but u know.. Whenever pressure is relieve we find lots of relaxation. While doing these few Gangman were working on adjacent on shouting and laughing on me on this act.

this was short incident which i still remember and makes me happy whenever i passed Itarsi station.
