Another option is Joka. There is land available with metro under construction. Only problem is that it is not connected by IR
As per my view, the stations which will may be a long-distance trains terminals stations are:-
1. DDJ(having long distance pfs) 2. DKAE, 3. BRP(IR can make pf#4 more longer as lands are available, though running of long-distance trains are not possible as its not located on proper Kolkata, but, IR can introduce some Passenger/Intercity trains eg: BRP-Nabadwip Dham, BRP-MLDT Pass, BRP-RPH Pass).

joka is nt a option , majherhat is best , railway already submit the surve report of budge bugbe - pujali - uluberia project , 1 km long bridge will made in this project.
