The Inspection of the newly electrified BG line between Dindigul[DG] and Virudhunagar[VPT] by CRS Mr.Satish Kumar Mittal scheduled for yesterday was cancelled due to "Technical" reasons.
However, railway sources told that the programme finalized three week back was cancelled only after SR's MDU div. DRM Mr. A.K. Rastogi failed to accompany him for the inspection. The DRM was with MoS for Rlys Mr. Kotla Jaya Surya Reddy, who was in MDU in connection with the inauguration of escalators at MDU Jn.

only a couple of days back his program was advanced to Tuesday. The DRM asked ADRM and other officials to accompany the CRS. The Chief Project Manager[Rly. electrification], Chief Engineer[Works] and Chief Electrical Design Engineer all from MAS were also ready for inspection.
The CRS spl attached to an electric and diesel loco was well decorated and stationed. Preparation for special "Poojas" were also on. When the officials approached the CRS for his consent for departure, he insisted that DRM accompany him during the trail run.
The DRM had reportedly informed the officials that he would join them at MDU. Finally the programme was cancelled and the CRS left for SBC.
