right but its more political than public demand. August Kranti Rajdhani is big example for the same.
thats the latter part, but in general if we say then its all upto the railway board to decide what halts should be given.
because here, there were demand for LTT NZM AC Express from Kalyan and Thane people..... result was we got the train but no halt at kalyan or thane.

yes,i m very surprised to see the stations of patna route like jamui,gidhaur, bhalui... ,
and there is nt a single passenger who hv reservations in train..
I travelled by g. Rath exp.. And when it rchd bhaktiyarpur all local sabjiwalas occupied reservd coaches and were disturbing everyone..including attendant...same case with poorva, too
