Wants to share an experience happened today.

Yesterday booked one PRS ticket from KJM to MGS by 12295 sangamitra exp as seats were available in GN Quota and therefore later on changed the BP to MAS. but by mistake booked for wrong date so in order to save Rs 35/- (cancel charges are 60/- and modification Charges are 25/-) i had decided to go for modification (CHANGE OF DATE).

clerk started to do modification but every time he fills the details, see something wrong going on to the screen and FLASH the booking and restart from beginning and repeated the procedure almost 3-4 times. When i asked him what happened, he told when he start the filling of form it shows Seats AVAILABLE 65 but when it comes out on next screen it shows WL 80. He also checked in enquiry format also that seats are available. He also tried it with next window but the same thing happened.
Than suddenly it came to my mind and i asked him is this may happens due to Change of BP as i had changed the BP to MAS. than only he realizes that this happening due to change of boarding point. than i cancelled old booking and booked a fresh ticket to get a confirm ticket.

So conclusion is - If u change the boarding point of ticket even after booking of ticket and modification of ticket is done, the earlier BP change will remains effective in new ticket also.
