It is very useful that janshadabti exp extended to kannur. It is great...
But better change the train status to a normal express because 2 more stops have been added(Vadakara and thalassery). No need for a janshadabti exp to stop at this station. Why railway not allowing a stop at aluva(stop for idukki). Most of the trains become superfast when they enter Thrissur and Ernakulam district and in other districts they travel like a fast passenger(example-Ernad exp,Mangala lakshwadeep exp,Netravati exp,Maveli exp etc..).These train skips chalakudy(Now category A station). The railway should stop this type of decision and give importance to each district equally. So better make janshadabti exp as a normal express and give stop to aluva, chalakudy.Or cancel stops at thalassery, vadakara, mavelikara and maintain the status of janshadabti express.

There is nothing like Jan Shatabdi should not stop at Talassery or Vadakara, as of now it may not be given more stops at Aluva, and if at all they give a stop at Aluva, need for Chalakudy as a stop doesnot arise at all.
It is already running with more than 80% general UR coaches and not JS coaches these days, railway is just collecting the JS fares and calling it a JS.

And why most of them become SF in TCR-ERS is because TCR-ERS is an FEDL. In north Malabar it is Diesel hauled and SRR-Karakkad is still a single section, even though the MPS is higher than SRR-ERS. In ERS-KYJ it is single sections, and beyond that KYJ-TVC all trains run with good speed, and the MPS is more than that of SRR-ERS
