Most of the KR trains r very popular n are in WL almost throuhgout the year, however Konkan Kanya always has a huge demand n even if tickets in other trains are AVBL, people prefer Konkan Kanya due to its TT leading to hevy WL in Konkan Kanya, on the other hand train like Rajya Rani does not get full as fast as Konkan Kanya, the only reason for this is TT, Rajya Rani takes 11 hrs during non-monsoon n 12.15 hrs during monsoon to cover its journey, to add to it, it departs late at night reaching KR stations late in the morning, hence people prefer Konkan Kanya, return TT of Rajya Rani is even worse, it takes 12:20 hrs n 13 hrs to cover the distance during non-monsoon n monsoon seasons respectively, it gets overtaken by Konkan Kanya, MAJN-CSTM S.F., ERS-PUNE S.F., even SWV-DIVA pass. runs faster than Rajya...

So i think Rajya Rani can be speeded up which will drastically bring down the travel time, also if possible. it should leave DR at 22:25 instead of 23:55, the fact that this train always reaches its destination well before time(see Arr./Dep.) supports the idea of speeding it up, this would take off the load of Konka Kanya to a large extent.....
