16128 /27 is taking a long route from chennai to guruvayur.... nearly 1100km onward...
is there any demand or will it be successful for SR for a train from chennai to guruvayur via erode,salem,cbe, palghat, trichur and guruvayur?

any trains presently halting at cbe be given an extension upto guruvayur via palghat and trissur

Its main aim is for day connection from Chennai to Madurai and MAdurai to Trivandrum. Also helps connection for Madurai to Ernakulam and beyond- its not end to end train- for Guruvayur people generally use 16041 till Trichur and take a pass or bus from there
This train caters to small distance travellers mostly....GUV-TVC, NCJ-MDU/TPJ and finally TPJ-MS remains bookef....runs late mostly after TVC till TPJ due to single line...but reaches MS more or less on time due to slack timing....

Might be adding some slip coaches will help-detaching at TCR and sending to GUV rather than a full train running- GUV I guess doesn thave stabling facilities so train has to come back to TCR for maintainence
