i think iri shud not update tech halts because most of time these timings are wrong and due to buggy software of iri , duronto tech halt timings are always wrong , so better is not to give wrong info ....
gives an approximate idea of when is the train going to stop next. helpful for long distance durontoes like hwh ypr where the train runs for hrs. even a rough idea of stoppage helps. you may get a chance to stretch your limbs, have a walk, get taps filled with water, etc. having no information will be like official website, which is least informative...
