I think railways should seriously relook at issuing sleeper tickets for short distance passengers across general tickets counters for this train.Sleeper class passengers with prior reservaton are highly inconvenienced, especially when you have passengers towards thrissur, shoranur, calicut, kannur all boarding with sleeper tickets.and sharing seats with other passengers .
I remember a few years ago a group of school students along with thier teachers, who had come on an excursion from north india and were returning, had boarded this train from ernakulam. They had valid sleeper tickets and despite that local passengers refused to budge from their seats. The TTE was helpless and just requested them to 'somehow' adjust till Kannur!!!
I traveled recently from ERN to SC by Sabari express , till Shoranur heavy crowd in Sleeper compartments, no TTE till palakkad.
